How ORTHO-K works

ORTHO-K IS DIFFERENT IN DESIGN AND MATERIAL THAN OTHER SOFT LENSES IN THE MARKET.

But first, what is the reason when eyes see things blurry?

UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM

The primary purpose of your eye is to focus light. When the rays of light are not focused properly, you need glasses or contact lenses. Light enters the eye through the cornea, the clear front surface or “window” of the eye. As the light passes through the cornea, it is bent or refracted. This bent light then travels through the pupil and into the lens. The lens acts to fine-tune the focus of light onto the retina. The retina turns the light energy into electrical impulses that travel along the optic nerve from the eye to the brain, where the image is interpreted.

The problem begins when the curvature of your cornea, the power of your lens, and the length of your axis is not allowing your eye to focus light at an optimum level. This could lead to:

#Myopia

#Astigmatism

#Presbyopia

The good news is that many people can solve any of the problems mentioned above with Orthokeratology.

ORTHO-K lenses flatten the cornea in a non-intrusive manner, allowing light to be refocused and image to be formed on the retina.
